Steval-spin3201 hall sensors connection.

Hello!

I'm trying to work with steval-spin3201 board, i have AMETEC minijammer bldc motor with three hall sensors on board, ST Motor Control Workbench with Atolic True studio. First i tried sensor-less control and it's works fine with some tuning. But i can't rotate motor with hall sensors connected, motor stuck in one position and don't moving. What i did: in ST Motor workbench i selected Hall sensor instead of sensor-less, connected three hall sensor to board with 5V_USB power. I checked signal on hall sensors: it changes when motor rotating, so they alive. Can you suggest something? Thanks!

Some update: i managed to rotate motor with the hall sensors, i have to change "Sensors displacement" to 60 deg (because of hardware placement of sensors), but i can't understand what is "Placement electrical angle" mean?

Regards,

Roman.

Dear Roman,

I encounter the same problem with you, may i know which software version you are using? According the STM Motor library V4.3, you need to manually set up hall sensor. Refer to manual below, page 89 onwards.

The question has been moved from the section "Motor Control Hardware" to the "STM32 Motor Control" section (the question is about the STM32 MC SDK).

Best regards
