I need to profile a motor for a drone. Profiling with or without propeller?

Hello,

I need to profile a motor to be used in a drone. I can profile it sussefully without and also with propeller on, but wich is the correct way to profile it? And why?

The relevant environment for performance is with a propeller attached because that is the intended/target configuration. Knowing how it performs without one is of dubious value.

what software are you using for profiling? and what size is your motor?

I'm using ST motor profiler. The motor is a Protronik 2810, 1000KV, 25Apk, with a 3 cell battery (11.1V) and a 10x5 inches propeller (graupner e-prop).
