USB compound device (hub) possible?

I need to make a compound device, that's a multifunction device which looks like a hub with some devices behind it.  This is needed to work around a dumb host which does not understand composite devices.

Is it possible with F0 family chips?

 I suspect that a certain hardware feature known as 'promiscuous mode' may be needed for this.

If F0 family chips do not have it, which do?

The functions behind the emulated hub are simple and low data rate (like HID keyboard & mouse), from performance POV it should be feasible.  

Any comments?
