Question

I got error when I'm using the STM32CubeProgrammer with MCU of STM32N657

hi guys

I need to put a F/W program on my board that my coworker made

but there’s a problem with CN6 so I have to use TAG

and I can’t use USE port for power so I can use only VIN

when I was using the STM32CubeProgrammer then I got this error

I changed mode, reset mode and frequency but it couldn’t help

Does any body know to solve this problem? please let me know

Hello @sujeong ,

Please also check the STM32CubeN6 Template README, and read the README provided with your own STM32CUBEn-  project (STM32CubeN6/Projects at main · STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeN6) . They explain the expected STM32CubeProgrammer steps and how to adapt them to your project and board.

Hi, your description is not very clear, so 1. which board are you used? MB1939? 2. if you power the board by VIN and connect a external debugger with CN10? 3. what is the BOOT switch position of SW1 and SW2 in your board? you can change it and try again.

I made you confused sorry about that

  1. that board I mentioned made by our team in my company and there’s a main mcu (STM32N657X0H3Q). and the board is similar with STM32N6570-DK board
  2. I said “VIN” for power(JP2) but when we use tag(CN1) that’s enough for power so we’re just testing only use tag for power
  3. we’re using BOOT0 - SW2(L), BOOT1 - SW3(H)

but It changed a little after I posted

I think I can download my program to mcu but “0x486 is lost” error is still doing

how I can solve this problem help me please

since there is no internal flash in STM32N657 MCU, so, 0x34180400 is your external memory address, right? Did you have write a flash loader for your external memory and selected it in STM32 programmer?
