Question

What is the correct recommended pad size for the STM32 in the TFBGA240+25? The Table 135 of the datasheet seems incorrect.

With a ball size of 0.4mm I would expect a pad size of 0.36mm , but 0.225 mm is in the table.

 Hi @CGand,

You are right, the PCB recommended design rules for TFBGA240+25 (0.8mm) pitch is not correct.

The values should be:

  • Pitch : 0.8
  • Dpad : 0.400 mm
  • DSM : 0.500 mm
  • Stencil opening : 0.400mm

I raised this internally for correction in the next STM32H7 datasheets.
