NUCLEO-F103RB startup with the ST-Link disconnected adds delay

The below oscilloscope capture appears to show that disconnecting the ST-Link from the Windows laptop adds 80 ms to the NUCLEO startup, until the first UART packet is sent. If that is correct, what can cause this delay?

How are you assessing t=0 here? I see nothing to provide a time reference. Perhaps also capture NRST.

In any case, ST-Link will only affect code execution if it's being utilized.
