No connection with ST link /V2 after setting read protection option 1

Hi,

I tried to set the read protection to level 1 (the one where we should be able to wipe out everything) .

But after that i can't get no connection anymore with STM32IDE , ST-link or any tool. Connection is completely broke.

Before changing this level, i have programmed the chip a dozen times succesfully.

In these time of chip scarcity we don't have the option to replace the chip and find out why this is happening, so we hope that someone know what is happening?

I was thinking that maybe some debug port pins changed function, but why would this change with only setting a read protection bit?

> can't get no connection anymore

What does this mean? What specific error message do you get when you try to connect with STM32CubeProgrammer? Does it show target voltage?

Did you reassign SWD pins? Might try to connect under reset. Verify power rails and current draw is as expected. Seems like a hardware issue somewhere, check for loose connections, poor soldering.
