My new ST-Link V3 will not enumerate as a USB device (No even recognized as an unknown device), my ST-Link V2 device works fine so am I to assume that the new device is faulty?

The ST-LINK/V3 need better quality, faster cables, as it uses the 480 Mbps mode.

Also will not connect with "charger" cables.

That was exactly the issue, I used several cables that I had but in the end I purchased a new one from Dynamix and this sorted the problem. Thank you
