For external antenna testing and tuning which ST25R3916 development board would work best? The Nucleo or the Disco?

Hi willem buidentdyk,

For experimenting with the antenna the I would regard the Disco better suited. Using the PC GUI you have direct access to all registers, can use various tabs to experiments with the various protocols and you have convenient tab where you can observe amplitude and phase on RFI and in case you are using Varicaps you can also control them in a convenient way.
