Hi Sir,Can the configuration registers of the ALED7709 be stored in the ALED7709, or must they be controlled via I2C by the MCU every time? There shows "This variant is the most generic one, it must be controlled through I2C since at POR almost all registers are clean." in the datasheet page 53.Does it mean ALED7709 cannot store configuration?

Hello everybody,I am trying to use the TIM3 those input capture mode with DMA transfer. After buffer is full the DMA call the callback function IT. Then i execute the stop DMA function. But after this sequence, the DMA no reinitialize. I am using the Cube MX for initialize the code.What could I be doing wrong?I am using the STM32C011F6P6  The code:uint16_t period_buffer[52];HAL_TIM_IC_Start_DMA(&htim3, TIM_CHANNEL_1, (uint32_t*) period_buffer, 52);  void HAL_TIM_IC_CaptureCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim){       HAL_TIM_IC_Stop_DMA(&htim3, TIM_CHANNEL_1);}

Hi there,   I read this document and it mentioned that the function "vl53l8cx_set_VHV_repeat_count" can be used to compensate for the ranging error caused by temperature. I would like to know the principle of VHV calibration compensation. Is it related to the signal power of VCSEL?   Does VHV calibration also apply to the compensation mechanism at low voltage (2.5~3V)? Or are there other functions that can compensate for voltage drift?

Hi all, I'm trying to receive UART data from an xbee module, I've noticed the xbee is sending out the data correctly (using a logic analyzer) however the STM32L431KCU6 is not receiving this data properly and instead seems like the data is being buffered somewhere? I have a timer counting the time from a start byte and if no further bytes are received for 10ms the timer ISR will terminate this frame reception. The fist message I send generates a timer interrupt however I only see the first byte of the data, when I send the second message I am able to see the full frame of the first message. Then when I send a 3rd message then I'm able to see the second message. with time this message difference increases and can reach 4/5 messages difference. I'm unsure what's going on and where is this data being buffered?  Appreciate any help.      static void MX_USART1_UART_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN USART1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END USART1_Init 0

I have successfully implemented the USB_OTG_FS as host as mass storage class on the STM32F407 discovery board. Now I want to do the same with the USB_OTG_HS But there is no usb connector available on the discovery board Can anyone guide me what external components to use and also an example code for the same.

Hello STM32 friends!Board: Nucleo-H755ZI-QCore used for LWIP: M7Goal: LWIP without RTOS(UPDATE below: I solved my own question, find it on github, hope to help somebody with it)I have followed many posts on the ethernet topic, but for a long time I was unable to get lwip working on the Nucleo-H755ZI.I got it working on an F7 and H7 (without RTOS) a long time ago, back when TrueStudio was still in use.Now that I'm using the latest STM32CubeMX 6.11.1, STM32CubeIDE 1.15.1 and the latest H7 firmware 1.11.2, I can't seem to get it to work.I've been following a lot of good posts on this topic and taking a lot of notes.Since I've been struggling for days, I posted a simple project on GitHub.The project includes a flashing LED to indicate that the M7 core has started and is running (not hanging in an error handler).If it only responds to ping requests, I'll be very happy.I will then add a TCP and UDP server and client to it, and perhaps an HTTP server.My little project is posted here:http

I tried two aproaches to start a new project:Using STM32CubeIDE only, using "Device Configuration Tool"Using STM32CubeMX and open it in STM32CubeIDEThere are a lot of things that can not be choosen in STM32CubeIDE Device Configuration Tool, so options and checkboxes remain grayed out.Under Project Manager "Gnerate Under Root" acn't be deselected.As a result, I can't deselect "Generate Under Root".In "Code Generator" I selected Pair of .c/.h files for peripherals, but they are are not generated, instead everyting is put in the main.c file.When stating with STM32CubeMX, and importing from an STM32CubeMX generated code, things are fine, just the way I want it.Is "Device Configuration Tool" a limited version of STM32CubeMX?Or am I doing something wrong?EDIT, Solved, right-clicking the ioc file in the project tree, and selecting "Generate code" solved it.It told me so in the project tree right after the ioc file: "[Code Generation is required]"Sorry for bothering.One project generated by ST

Hi,I'm using a NUCLEO-H723ZG and I've installed the CMSIS DSP library, but when I try to compile the code something goes wrong... May you help me to understand what do I make wrong ? Thank you, Luigi

Hi,I have a inline assembly code to implement some math, like:************************************C-Code...asm(" push {%5};"" lsl %5, 1;"" add %5, %3;"...);C-Code*******************************************************Unfortunately I`m not able to step through this code. What I have done so far:1. Set breakpoints inside asm code -> not reached2. Set breakpoint before asembly code and try to step inside the inline asm code -> By the time I step inside the asm code, the debuger is "busy" as if it would be in run mode and sometimes it crashes and the debug session is over.3. In Project build settings I have selcted the maximum debug level -g3 -> no effect4. I have set optimization to "none" -> no effect5. open the disassembly perspective and try to debug the code there -> same behavior as in 2.I only can say that the debug code is doing the math, I can see the results, but for some changes I`d like to debug this asm code.Anyone has any idea of what else I can do to get it do

Hi everybody, I'm new to this forum and have a problem involving an ST62T65CB6 microcontroller. I have been programming PIC chips for a long time and am familiar with the process of reading and writing to memory. My problem is that I have a board with this chip attached, running a CH boiler. The board has developed a fault and I need to understand the programme and be able to read/write and ideally, disassemble the code. Can a member please point me towards an interface (programmer). I have some board development and soldering skills so could manage to build a relatively simple programmer if I could find a schematic but would prefer to source one already built.

HelloI am starting a project with a STM32U585CIU6 and an OV7670 camera module. I want to use the DCMI interface to get the data, and I'm using the Introduction to DCMI to STM32 MCUs document as a reference.STM32U585 datasheet mentions the support to DCMI and provides all the respective pin definitions. I want to configure the GPIOs with an embedded synchronization (using therefore 8 data pins + 1 pin for DCMI_PIXCLK).However, I can't see the DCMI function in any GPIO pin I try to use. For example, STM32U585 datasheet mentions the following alternate functions for pin PA9:TIM1_CH2, SPI2_SCK, DCMI_D0/PSSI_D0, USART1_TX(boot), SAI1_FS_A, TIM15_BKIN, EVENTOUTBut my .ioc file provides the following functions when I select pin PA9:I imagined that there would be a "DCMI" peripheral option in the Connectivity or Multimedia sections, but I couldn't find anything in there. I don't know if any Software Pack must be installed, so I would appreciate if anyone could explain me how should I proceed i

Hello, The only difference between STM32F401RBT6 vs STM32F401RCT6 is the memory size, 128KB vs 256KB. I have a board in production with the STM32F401RBT6. If I switch to STM32F401RCBT6 (larger memory), can I share the same .hex firmware if I don't exceed 128KB? I think the answer is a big NO; but I just want to avoid two different firmwares. Customers are using the DFO for updates.Thanks for the help!!

Hi, I can't find the datasheet for the NUCLEO-H753ZI board. i will appreciate if someone could help me to find it. thanks.

Hello,I've implemented the solution proposed in https://github.com/MaJerle/stm32-usart-uart-dma-rx-tx?tab=readme-ov-file by @Tilen MAJERLE for efficiently using the DMA in circular mode with a buffer for the UART in a STM32L4 board.I'm trying to port my driver to the M4 processor of a STM32MP157-DK2. I've successully configured the UART3 in the M4 project with DMA in normal mode and I'm receiving one byte at a time and adding them with the RxComplete callback to my buffer.However, when I changed the DMA mode to circular, my surprise was that there is no HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle_DMA function in the HAL driver and no HAL_UARTEx_RxEventCallback callback. So I can use the RxComplete and RxHalfComplete callbacks but no idle line callback, which is a big problem when using a long circular buffer size.Can anyone explain what is the problem, why there is no Idle line detection here or how can this feature be implemented for this board? Thanks in advance.

I'm using Visual Studio 2022 to develop and debug TouchGFX softwareEvery time I launch the debug the console output shows  'Application.exe' (Win32): download of 'C:\Windows\SysWOW64\windows.storage.dll' completed ... Thread 2792 exited with code 0 (0x0). ... Is there a way to print also the cout like void MainWheel::handleDragEvent(const DragEvent& evt) { std::cout << "Variation X: " << evt.getDeltaX() << ", Variation Y: " << evt.getDeltaY() << std::endl;

I am using the STM driver to control the LIS2DH12TR accelerometer.The freeRTOS sensor task is as following (checks on return values and variables definitions are removed to simplify the code comprehension): void MEMS_task(void) { lis2dh12_self_test(&dev_ctx); result = lis2dh12_operating_mode_set(&dev_ctx, LIS2DH12_HR_12bit); result = lis2dh12_data_rate_set(&dev_ctx, LIS2DH12_ODR_100Hz); result = lis2dh12_fifo_mode_set(&dev_ctx, LIS2DH12_BYPASS_MODE); result = lis2dh12_block_data_update_set(&dev_ctx, PROPERTY_ENABLE); result = lis2dh12_temperature_meas_set(&dev_ctx, LIS2DH12_TEMP_ENABLE); for (;;) { result = lis2dh12_xl_data_ready_get(&dev_ctx, &acceleration_data_available); if (acceleration_data_available != 0) { /* Read accelerometer data */ memset(data_raw_acceleration, 0x00, sizeof(data_raw_acceleration)); lis2dh12_acceleration_raw_get(&dev_ctx, data_raw_acceleration); acceleration_mg[0] = lis2dh12_from_fs2_hr_to_mg(data_raw_

Running the code "MP13_BSP_BasicTemplates" in the DDR of the STM32MP135F-DK succeeds，But running the code "UART_Receive_Transmit_Console_A7" in the DDR of the STM32MP135F-DK fails（“USE_DDR” Macros added,Link text has been modified），Errors are as follows：

I am wondering if VSSA voltage can be slightly lower than VSS? If so, what is the maximum allowed difference?The reason why I ask is because I would like to measure voltage slightly (0.2-0.3V) below the common ground attached to VSS. I looked in several DSxxx documents (e.g. DS13195 and DS13196) but, to my surprise, I found no info/specification. I guess, a separate VSSA pin was made available on some MCUs so the voltage could slightly differ from VSS.Could anyone advise?

I am trying to use touchfgx on stm32,but I have some problems .the background on the hmi will rotate sometimes,the background has a lot moving lines and shapes that rotate along.I know I can use texture mapper to realize it,but that need many texture mapper widgets.So I want to know if I can draw these shape and lines on a container,and then rotate the whole container. as far as I know,emwin can do this by using memdev.one more question:if I want to draw many lines and shapes on the container ,I have to declare the lines in designer? or   Can I draw lines dynamicly like emwin?

hello whats this component and datasheet link p

Hi.. It's possible to know the exact code of this component?Thank you so much

I need a MCU with a USB host controller. It seems to be hit or miss as to which STM32 chips have this feature. I've tried the product selector on both this site and Digikey, but "host" is only ever listed in the datasheet, so this has proven fruitless. This feature is key to he project I'm working on. I need to be able to connect a keyboard to the chip and be able to read the key presses. The rest of what I need is mostly IO and SPI/I2C, so I'm otherwise not to picky. Still, I'd like to avoid wading through the muck that is the ST MCU lineup, chip by chip, if at all possible.

For example here:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/timer-compare-output-using-dma-stm32f3discovery/td-p/672897there are two code blocks with "View more",buttons. When "View more" on the first code block is clicked, both code blocks are expaneded. However, the "View more" at the second code block remains, and if clicked, nothing happens just that "View more" button disappears.I don't think this is the expected behaviour.JW

Hi,I am using a STM32MP151AAA3 and i need to control an RGB LED via PWM control (something like the WS2812B). I was looking into the PWM driver options for Linux side control and can't find options for PWM control for specific buffer sizes or anything like that (only for fixed PWM outputs).On the bare metal MCU's i can control this via PWM and DMA and send a specified data buffer. does anyone know if there is a similar option for a Linux controller PWM driver?The other option is to control these LED's via the secondary M4 core but I rather not if possible.Kind regards,Richard

Hey all, i believe i've found a mistake on the stspin32f0601 datasheet.  https://www.st.com/en/motor-drivers/stspin32f0601.html Page 12, RON_OD, Units are in Watts instead of Ohm, I believe this is supposed to be the value of RON_OD.   Thank you
