PM0056 seems to describe exactly the same things as the ARM TRM. Why would I read it, instead of getting the same information from its first-party source? Is there a difference that I'm overlooking?

Hi,I'm getting a DMA transfer error on an STM32F427, but don't know why. I've already ruled out memory areas (ie. CCM) not accessible by DMA. Here are my registers:As you can see, S0M0AR is located in SRAM, S0PAR is a GPIO BSRR register. The transfer is triggered periodically by a timer, which seems to work because after the timer fires, I get TEIF0 and TCIF0 set in LISR, indicating a transfer error, but I don't know why. Datasheet doesn't help either.I'm trying to implement this: https://www.pjrc.com/teensy/td_libs_OctoWS2811.html (scroll all the way down to "OctoWS2811 Technical Details".Any idea what's happening?Thanks,-- Szabi

Hello,I've got a realy strange issue. I'm using an STM32F107, with SW4STM32 and CubeMX. The controller is on a custom board. When I click on "Run" in eclipse, the controller is not starting. It seemed, that he's going immediately in a HardFault. Even when I poweroff the powersupply and reconnect the controller, it's not starting. When I run the debugger for the first time after a normal "Run" the controller jumps into Hardfault. But immediately. I've got a breakpoint at the beginning of the main(), but this point is never reached. When I'm exiting the debugger and debug again, everything works fine. I can power on and off the controller as many times as I want, it still works fine. In the HFSR the FORCED bit is set. In the BSFR the bits IMPRECISERR and STKERR are set. In eclipse, both "Run" and "Debug" mode are using the same build configuration. Does anyone have any further suggestions where I could look for the error reason?

Using STM32CubeMX, how to generate the code that goes inside the USER CODE BEGIN/END root sections?

Hello, I'm trying to use ready project for nucleo f103rb, im extracting files, and opening project in "System workbench for stm32", I get errors when building like "fatal error: opening dependency file Middlewares/ST/RFAL/rfal_analogConfig.d: No such file or directory   rfal_analogConfig.c   /STM32F1xx-ST25R95-Polling/Middlewares/ST/RFAL   line 342   C/C++ Problem", if I try to add rfal and the rest of files to existing working project (I'm trying to connect nfc04a1 with nfc03a1 in my project, so I need both of them to work together". It would be great if anyone could just send to me working version of project distributed in Cube for SW4STM32. P.S. Is it possible to add this library to STM32Cube? I mean NFC_V2.0.0 and how to do this? I tried with adding zip and so on ... but nothing worked :(.

I'm trying to get my STM32 custom board to show up as a USB device on my Windows 10 computer. I realize there are MANY moving parts. It's not working yet. I appreciate your help!I'm using STM32F105R8T6 with pins 44/45 (PA11/PA12 aka OTG_FS_DM/OTG_FS_DP) connected to usb hub's DM/DP respectively.Note that pin 43 (PA10 aka USART1_RX aka OTG_FS_ID) is wired on the pcb to be used for USART1, not USB OTG ID. I'm intending for a full time USB device, not with OTG hosting, so this pin wasn't connected for that purpose during pcb design.I downloaded STM32Cube_FW_F1_V1.8.0 and found inside it .\Projects\STM3210C_EVAL\Applications\USB_Device\CDC_Standalone. I copied that folder and got the project to build using Atollic TrueSTUDIO for STM32, version 9.3.0. I then edited a local copy of stm3210c_eval.h in order to use my desired USART1 rather than USART2, use different LED positions for my custom board, and couldn't specifically find any USB configuration in that .h

I am not sure this belongs here, it could just as well be in MCU, but i believe it could be a configuration problem, so i put it here.I am working on a project with Cube IDE. when I tried to compile for the first time, the build failed because of errors in the auto generated drivers. To fix this, I tried to delete all drivers and let MX import them again, but the error persisted.The Error:invalid type argument of '->' (have 'TIM_HandleTypeDef {aka struct <anonymous>}') stm32f1xx_hal_tim.h />Project</Drivers/STM32F1xx_HAL_Driver/Inc line 1222 C/C++ Problem   invalid type argument of '->' (have 'TIM_HandleTypeDef {aka struct <anonymous>}') stm32f1xx_hal_tim.h />Project</Drivers/STM32F1xx_HAL_Driver/Inc line 1229 C/C++ Problem   make: *** [Src/subdir.mk:73: Src/stm32f1xx_it.o] Error 1 >Project< C/C++ Problem   make: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs.... >Project< C/C++ ProblemThe Code:#define __HAL_TIM_SET_COUNTER(__HANDLE__, __COUN

I'm trying to get myself situated to program comfortably with my STM32 Blue Pill and STLink V2 USB interface. However, I've run into an issue when trying to gain access to the VCP (Virtual COM Port) that the STLink is supposed to open up for me when I plug it into my computer. I've installed the latest drivers from the ST website.I upload the USB bootloader to the STM32 and then upload a program over the STLink.After this, I no longer have access to a serial port over the USB connection to the blue pill or STLink (which never worked previously, and is what I'm trying to get working).In accordance with multiple sources I've found online, I expect to see a COM port for serial communication, but I don't. All I see in Device Manager is the STLink programmer.Device Manager Screenshot: https://i.stack.imgur.com/jHP9B.pngDoes anyone know how to fix this situation and properly configure the STLink to show its COM port? Thanks!

Hello,Iam using STM32H743 Nucleo board.Suddenly The Red LED (Over current LED) is glowing in my Micro controller. I have cheked all the connections properly there is no short circuit in it. Because of this i cant able to load the Program in it It is showing Target Not Found Error.When i Checked the Data Sheet . it is written like if the board power consumption in the USB Exceeds 500 mA Then the LED will glow it seems .i am powering with my laptop till today morning it was working fine. May i know what is the causeKindly give me the solution to get out of it.it will be very helpfull@Community member Please find the attached pic and data sheetsRegards,Muthukumar Ganesan

I have this NFC reader connected as slave using UART. The IC normally works fine (using the UART StartUp Sequence), but some times stuck (this is another issue), If We try to get the ECHO command, never gets back the 0x55, means CR95HF is stacked, the only way to making work is to PowerUp.I been trying to RESET the CR95HF using the PowerUp sequence (without PowerUp the IC) but I have no success.is there any sequence to perform the Reset using the UART?Thank you

Hi,We use the STM32L082 which is used in the Murata LoRa ABZ type 078. Somehow the flasing does not work and I am trying to find a way to deal with it.Programming Failed! Hi,I'm wondering if a FSMC access interruptable? in another word, do I have to disable interrupt before accessing to the external memory with FSMC, then recover the interrupt status after? Or just use it as it is a internal memory, access it freely? A FSMC access might take many mcu tick, if the program is interrupted when accessing to the external device, will the timing be corrupted?any comments are appreciated!Thanks!

Using Rowley Crossworks and CMSIS DSP V5.6.0 library. Function  arm_cfft_f32 works but arm_rfft_fast_f32 hard faults. arm_cfft_f32 (&arm_cfft_sR_f32_len16, TestInput, 0, 1);   arm_cfft_f32 (&arm_cfft_sR_f32_len16, TestInput, 1, 1);   status = arm_rfft_fast_init_f32(&S, 32); arm_rfft_fast_f32(&S, TestInput, TestOutput, 0); //FAULTS !The call to arm_cfft_f32 works as forward and inverse and the call to initialise the fast rfft works but the call to arm_rfft_fast_f32 hard faults.Anyone know if the CMSIS DSP 5.6.0 has problems?I'm using the Cortex M7 little endian + FPU version and have added the appropriate preprocessor definitions.

Hi,I'm using the F469I-DISCO Board, since a couple of days I can't pause the execution of my program, without it causing a Hard Fault after continuing. I know it doesn't have anything to do with my code, because I took old projects, which ran fine and tried to debug them, and the hard fault handler triggers again.The Hard Fault Handler reads: Attempt to do exception with bad value in EXEC_RETURN number (INVCP).PC and LR just point to the last executed function, but since it always occurs in different parts of code, this doesn't really help.The only thing I could think of was the IDE being at fault, if I remember correctly these things happened, after I set some printf breakpoints, but I removed them all.Are there any things I can set in the IDE, because even after creating a new project the hard fault gets triggered.

Noticed that new Cube versions and CubeIDE, generate initialization code for UARTs TX and RX pins with GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_LOWPrevious Cube versions (at least 4.x) generate instead GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_VERY_HIGH.Was this change intentional?GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_LOW seems to work on H7 at least at 115200. But can it make trouble at higher speeds?-- pa

Hi there,I am working on Murata cmwx1zzabz (i.e. STM32L072CZ) and my code is based on the ST en.i-cube_lrwan. For all the basic stuff (joining, sending messages) it runs fine. The Mac commands, that actually manage the network, are OK except the "sticky" ones.As stated in the Semtech library, "The sticky answers were introduced to the specification in order to ensure that critical MAC commands have been understood by the end-device. You can see the sticky answers like an acknowledgement." So these sticky Mac commands require some acknowledge from the device because it is related to critical parameter (sticky Mac commands are SRV_MAC_RX_PARAM_SETUP_REQ, SRV_MAC_RX_TIMING_SETUP_REQ, SRV_MAC_DL_CHANNEL_REQ). So when the device is receiving one of these, the Mac layer notifies the application layer that an uplink is required as soon as possible. The MlmeIndication callback is then executed.But looking at the ST library lora.c (more specially LORA_TxNeeded() ) nothing is implemented. Nothin

In the document RM0407 Rev.5 there are two different memory maps on pages 87 and 717.  According to p.236 we have to write 2 DCF records (16 bytes) in one program operation, but now we have RESERVED area after DCF Start record area. How we should write start record properly? The screenshots are attached.

I sended a dr_swap request, and the target will response a ack/reject/wait. I use the follow api to send dr_swap, and the target response a reject. However, this api just return USB_OK not USBPD_REJECT. And where I could get the response from the target?yy = USBPD_PE_Request_CtrlMessage(port_num, USBPD_CONTROLMSG_DR_SWAP, USBPD_SOPTYPE_SOP);
