Hi,I flashed OS "en.FLASH-stm32mp1-openstlinux-5-4-dunfell-mp1-20-11-12.tar.xz" to board STM32MP157C-DK2. Then remove all the cable, and only remain a type C cable connected with my laptop Type C port. But the kit can't power on.Could you tell me how to let it to sink power as USB device, and source power as USB host? Thanks,QiZhang

My goal is to add i2c5 in the dts for userspace access however it is not visible at /sys/bus/i2c/devices. My steps are as follows:1) bitbake virtual/kernel -c devshell2) in new shell, modify the arch/arm/boot/dts/stm32mp157a-dk1.dts3) in new shell, make dtbs or make stm32mp157a-dk1.dtb, and close the new shell4) in original shell, bitbake virtual/kernel -f -c compile and bitbake virtual/kernel -f -c compile5) build-openstlinuxweston-stm32mp1/tmp-glibc/deploy/images/stm32mp1/scripts/create_sdcard_from_flashlayout.sh ../flashlayout_st-image-weston/trusted/FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157a-dk1-trusted.tsv and create the .raw for dd to the sdcardHowever, with above steps seems the updated dtb file is not populated to the sdcard image. Am I missing some steps?

HiI'm using stm32f767 and want to use LTDC with double framebuffer. Can i do this with one sdram?LTDC is fetching data from sdram(front buffer) and i have to prepare the back buffer at the same time(load data from sdcard into sdram)Internal sram capacity is not sufficient. How can this happen?LTDC and SDRAM are working and i can display image through LTDC from SDRAMLTDC is running at 30MHz and SDRAM clock is 90MHz.

Hello,We are using LIS2DH12 sensor in our product. We are following the self test procedure mentioned in AN 5005 Section-12.We have confusion about how to use the raw data from OUT_L and OUT_H of each axis.(1) Do we need to convert raw data into gravity and then do average and difference or can we use raw data as is for average and difference ?(2) while device is in test mode, OUT_L and OUT_H are result of simulated force only or it can be sum of simulated force and external force ?Regards, khodidas

I've been assigning some of my storage areas into different memory areas as defined within the STM32H743ZITX_RAM.ld file in a project using STM32CubeIDE. This has first required me to insert the appropriate definitions where I've used memory domain D3 as an example:MEMORY { DTCMRAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 128K ITCMRAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x00000000, LENGTH = 64K RAM_D1 (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x24000000, LENGTH = 512K RAM_D3 (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x38000000, LENGTH = 64K FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x8000000, LENGTH = 2048K }   /* Sections */ SECTIONS /* snip .. */ .myD3memory (NOLOAD): { . = ALIGN(4); *(.myD3memory) . = ALIGN(4); } >RAM_D3 /* etc .. */ }I can then utilize this in main() as follows:uint16_t buffer16[32768] __attribute__ ((section(".myD3memory")));This works exactly as I intended and Build Analyzer shows the correct allocation. However, I now have a new case where I would like to reference the memory area not just as 16-bit unsigned shorts but also 8-bit un

Suppose there are two views: "Screen1" and "Screen2". Depending on which screen is active, we want to do something (like enable or disable an interrupt). Within the Model, what is the proper way to determine which screen is active? Is there an API that returns a string or number, and can someone point me to a simple example of the syntax? Thanks

The NRST pin of Nucleo-G031K8 is always low. The reset button does not do anything. Should not it reset MCU?

I'm setting it to 12.5 Hz. What is the maximum or lower frequency that I should expect? It is not specified in the datasheet. The temperature could be in the range of 15 to 40 ºC.

Hi to all, i want to know where we can download :AN5428 :system memory RSS servicesThanks

I found these prompt in my "main.c" of NonSecure generated by MX for NUCLEO L552ZE-Q: /* USER CODE BEGIN WHILE */ while (1) { /* USER CODE END WHILE */   /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ } /* USER CODE END 3 */ }should it be this? /* USER CODE BEGIN WHILE */ while (1) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */   /* USER CODE END 3 */ } /* USER CODE END WHILE */ }

It is Value A in model.cppAttempt to initialize Value A from the model.cpp function. However, before Value A initializes, setupsrceen() in B_Screenview is executed first, indicating an incorrect value.I want to know how to initialize Value A in model.cpp before setupscreen() in B_Screenview runs.#TouchGFX

I am using one timer (timer2) as pwm generator and i am using 3 channels on it. I wish to set each channel pulse width independently (they are controlling LEDs) from 1 to 100. But from the generated stcubeIDE function, it looks like that the channels pulse width are written sequentially so every time i wish to change one, i need to write other 2, in order. Is that true?P.S. The MCU i use is STM32L031F6P6.Below is generated timer function:static void MX_TIM2_Init(void) {   /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM2_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE END TIM2_Init 0 */   TIM_ClockConfigTypeDef sClockSourceConfig = {0}; TIM_MasterConfigTypeDef sMasterConfig = {0}; TIM_OC_InitTypeDef sConfigOC = {0};   /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM2_Init 1 */   /* USER CODE END TIM2_Init 1 */ htim2.Instance = TIM2; htim2.Init.Prescaler = 40; htim2.Init.CounterMode = TIM_COUNTERMODE_UP; htim2.Init.Period = 100; htim2.Init.ClockDivision = TIM_CLOCKDIVISION_DIV1; htim2.Init.AutoReloadPreload = TIM_AUTORELOA

So I've got some very basic code for a STM32 to read an encoder using timer 1 in encoder mode. This first routine works fine counting up and down as expected, printing CW (Clockwise) while counting up and CCW (Counter Clockwise) while counting down... The direction of the counter is read by the TIM_CR1_DIR bit with 1 for down.cnt = TIM1->CNT; // if counter counting down encoder is turning CW because i switched the wires if (!(TIM1->CR1 & TIM_CR1_DIR) && cnt != prevCnt) { printf("CCW, count = %d\n", 100 - cnt); prevCnt = cnt; pCnt = 0; } else if ((TIM1->CR1 & TIM_CR1_DIR) && cnt != prevCnt) { printf("CW, count = %d\n", 100 - cnt); prevCnt = cnt; pCnt = 0; } HAL_Delay(50);I thought I could clean it up a bit by taking out some of the redundant lines so I wrote this... But this routine acts really unpredictably sometimes it will print CCW while counting up and visa versa, or it will print CW while turning CCW. I'm fairly new to programming so I'd love

I'm using STM32F091VCT6 controller. I'm tried to BOOT it. MCU does not stand by mode (either low power mode or continuous reset mode). I'm tried by increasing delay on VCC & POR by using 10uf cap of NRST pin also I'm tried weak pull down on BOOT0 pin(47K to 10K register value) also please suggest how I will check exact behave of controller ??

Hello!I have a SPC58EC-DISP; I set the PWM frequency 20KHz and duty cycle 1%,then it's not output, when set 8%,it's output 2us time;I found that the minimum PWM output time seems to be 2us.now I want PWM frequency 20KHz(50us) and 1%(0.5us) ouput, what should I do?

Hi. Downloaded the latest 4.16 TouchGFX toolchain; latest STM32CubeIDE; latest STM32CubeMX.Selected STM32F429i-DISC1 kit -> imported the Pool Lights GUI. Nothing else. Ran fine on the simulator; runs fine on the target. Generated Code. No errors. Very nice.Wish to interact with CubeMX using this GUI generated project. Compiles without errors on the STM32Cube IDE.Raises many errors with IAR / Keil compilers. Can post more details later today.Any known issues with these toolchains? Thanks.

Hello,I have a use case where a custom container with a ScrollList of items need to be displayed but grey-ed out and disabled (as in not touchable) at the start of the screen transition and only becomes active once a button on the screen is clicked (e.g. an "Edit" button). What is the recommended way to achieve this? Thanks for everyone's time.

New a project for generating code while install the STM32CubeIDE first time. I try to close my firewall but it doesn't work.

Thank you for helping.environment:stm32CubeIDE Ver1.3.0TouchGFX Ver4.15.0Board: STM32F746G-DISCOWhen I step, it just enters the interrupt handlerI can't move on.With STM32F769I-DISCO, there is no such symptom. Is it a problem with the microcomputer? Please tell me how to solve it.

I created an eglfs Yocto build that can run the simple Qt5 demos, but I'm seeing fairly high CPU usage and I'm trying to figure out if the GPU is being used. I pondered that the GPU may not accelerate 2D graphics very well and does better with actual 3D. So, I thought I'd add support for more Qt5 packages and see if the 3d demos ran any better, but I can't get it to build.I'm getting a compiler error while building QT5's ogl-runtime complaining that <GLES2.gl3.h> cannot be found. I'm new to this, but from what I can tell this header should be supplied with the opengl libraries and presumably ST should be supplying that library with GPU acceleration. Or perhaps something else is going wrong/missing?Is it possible to get the Qt5 3D demos to run under an eglfs build? Is there some way to verify if the GPU is being used? Thanks,Jon======In file included from /home/jon/STM32MP15/Distribution-Package/openstlinux-5.4-dunfell-mp1-20-06-24/build-openstlinuxeglfs-stm32mp1/tmp-glibc/work/cor

Posted on June 17, 2014 at 11:27Hi I'm using the M24LR04 in Harvesting Mode to supply an STM32L151. When the uC powers up, it reads data from an sensor and write them to the M24LR. This is than read from an NFC Handheld. My problem is, when the Handheld approaches, first the M24LR starts to communicate with the handheld, before the uC powers up and refreshes the Data. So i want to disable the RF communication until the STM is on. I know there is the M24SR devices which had the RF disable Pin, but unfortunately my App is ISO15693 (and not  ISO 14443).... Is there another possibility... Thanx regards otmar #vout #rf-wip-busy #m24lr #m24lr

I am using an STM32WB55CG in a custom board with SWD interface. When I tried to connect the MCU using STM32CubeProgrammer, the MCU is identified in the Cube Programmer. But, when I tried to program it using the STM32cube IDE, device is not identified. Also, when I tried to erase the flash using STM32CubeProgrammer and also tried to write program through flash Programmer both does not work and shows errors. What is the problem behind it?
