Hello Community,I'm trying to send some messages via uart using HAL_UART_Transmit. Those messages contain some extended ASCII Characters. I can´t get those characters and that's why i'm asking if someone could help me to send extended ASCII charcters. Thanks!

Hi,I'm trying to display the temperature values ranging from -40 to +40 on TEXT PROGRESS in TouchGFX designer. Unfortunately, the values range only starts from 0.Can anyone help me with this? I'll be very grateful.

Hello. I have just installed a stm32cubeMX and cubeIDE on my macOS machine. OS version Big sur 11.4 . I have noticed this very annoying issue when I hover over something in cubeIDE it does not display the name of the tool as it always does on my windows machine. Before I click something that I am unsure about, I want to atleast know what it is and usually its not obvious just by looking at the small icon. I hope someone can clarify to me whether this is a known issue or its just on my machine?

Is the I2C configuration tool STSW-STM32126 applicable to STM32H7?Or, is there a version for H7?

Hi everybody! I am using Windows10, STM32CubeIDE v1.5.1 and SEGGER JLink debugger, HW is STM32F103C8T6, Firmware is default Blink using HAL(But its occurs in all projects)I Have 2 problems:1) Running code execution:When I try to run the code, the MCU is flashed successfully, but at the end I see a message about halting MCU and I need to press Reset button on PCB to run the code. When problem occurs log looks like this SEGGER J-Link GDB Server V6.82g Command Line Version   JLinkARM.dll V6.82g (DLL compiled Aug 28 2020 16:57:23)   Command line: -port 2331 -s -device STM32F103C8 -endian little -speed 4000 -if swd -vd -----GDB Server start settings----- GDBInit file: none GDB Server Listening port: 2331 SWO raw output listening port: 2332 Terminal I/O port: 2333 Accept remote connection: localhost only Generate logfile: off Verify download: on Init regs on start: off Silent mode: off Single run mode: on Target connection timeout: 0 ms ------J-Link related settings------ J-Link Hos

I am now ready to write to flash when receiving a file upload via my webserver. However, I read that when erasing or writing to flash, flash reads are blocked. I can see this causing problems. The LwIP_IAP example which was written for the F407 must work, but it doesn't use FreeRTOS. I can see that it would be way easier to do with a 2 Bank part such as the F429 as I intend to split the flash in half so I can run from one section and upgrade the other.I have seen suggestions to run from RAM but that doesn't seem very practical when you have LwIP, FreeRTOS and a webserver running to upload the firmware...Any ideas?

i am bit flabbergasted to find that it became impossible to selected DMA channels for I2S.  when i try to select a DMA channel for I2S peripheral the IDE responds with a scruffy "No available DMA requests for this peripheral" i am running the following setup:STM32CubeIDE 1.7.0STM32H7 FW 1.9.0macOS 11.5 i can confirm that I2S + DMA used to work in the past on older versions of IDE + FW.

How can I display double or longlong variables (as human readable floating point or integer values) in the cube ide debugger please?.

HiI've downloaded the latest version of STSW-IMG007 (V2.4.5).I'm facing a portability issues with a previous version (2.3.3).As the X-CUBE-53L1A1's software examples are outdated, how can I use it?/What should I do?Thanks,Hamza

I have built an HTTP webserver on my STM32F407 custom board. I have multiple pages working. One of the pages lets the user select a file using the browser and upload it to the webserver. All of that is working. My issue is that when the upload completes I can't get the web browser to redirect to my home page. If I send it the home page it correctly displays it but the URL remains "upload.cgi". As far as I can tell from reading lots of google search results the following should work, but after the upload the browser keeps spinning the favicon. Any ideas?HTTP/1.1 303 See OtherLocation: index.htmlMike.

Hello guys! How are u all?I'm having few issues to develop self-test on my application. I setup everything from the SBSFU side to check image handling flags, and its working fine. I'm able to set my new firmware to self-test state and check the state of my active slot.My problem begin when i need to self-test. I have the following code on my application: printf("Before SE_APP_GetActiveFwState.."); SE_APP_GetActiveFwState(&se_Status, slot_number, &fw_state); printf("After SE_APP_GetActiveFwState..");   if (fw_state != FWIMG_STATE_SELFTEST) { printf("Firmware not is SELF_TEST state\r\n"); } else { printf("Firmware is in self test!\r\n");   se_retCode = SE_APP_ValidateFw(&se_Status, slot_number); if ((SE_SUCCESS == se_retCode) && (SE_OK == se_Status)) { printf("Firmware validated\r\n"); } else { printf("Firmware validation failure\r\n"); } }All i want is just to validate my firmware image. The first pixel of each of eight rows seems to provide a good range estimate in mm but the rest of the data is either zero or some huge number that doesn't respond to changes in the field of view. I assumed I would get 64 range estimates as output of Results.distance_mm[VL53L5CX_NB_TARGET_PER_ZONE*i] but that is not what I see. What am I doing wrong? Can you post a working example of 64 zone output please?

According to the STM32H745xI/G datasheet, the 64MHz HSI is accurate to +/- 0.3 MHz around room temperature, so +/- 0.5%.During testing, I noticed about 10-20% of my UART characters were getting dropped. I then looked at the signal on a scope and noticed the frequency is off.After redirecting the system clock to MCO2 (PC9) and measuring on a scope, I discovered the problem:The HSI RC (64 MHz) on the STM32H745 chip is off by 4%!! So much for the "factory calibration".Am I missing something here?Clock initialization (480MHz): /** Initializes the CPU, AHB and APB busses clocks */ RCC_OscInitStruct.OscillatorType = RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE_HSI; RCC_OscInitStruct.HSIState = RCC_HSI_DIV1; RCC_OscInitStruct.HSICalibrationValue = RCC_HSICALIBRATION_DEFAULT; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLState = RCC_PLL_ON; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLSource = RCC_PLLSOURCE_HSI; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLM = 32; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLN = 480; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLP = 2; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLQ =

Where can I find a procedure for installing the IDE on linux? I found:SetupSTM32CubeMX-6.3.0 and installed it. No problems.st-stm32cubeide_1.7.0 and installed it. No problems.STM32Cube_FW_L4_V1.17.0 and unzipped it. No method for installing. The last one I downloaded manually because I am trying to find an example program to begin evaluation. If use the IDE to install example programs, it will list some examples but the tool does not know how to find a download site. I found the third one and it can be unzipped, but the readme does not specify how to connect to the existing IDE. A note I found on the web says to unpack to a Repository directory. I looked and could not find this folder/directory.On my box, I have /usr/local/STMicroelectronics/STM32Cube/~/STM32CubeIDE which appears to be a workspace for custom filesa ton of hidden dirs which I am unsure what they are for .stm32cubeide .stm32cubemx .stmcube .stmcufinderI installed a previous version of the IDE and never got this working. Hello,Is it possible to use USB full speed (12 Mbit/s) combined with audio class 1.0 to transfer 16bit audio data sampled at 384ksps ? According to my calculation, I need to transfer 768 bytes/ms over USB:384000 * 16 = 6144000 bits/s = 6144 bits/ms = 768 bytes/msSo in theory, it fits in the 1024 bytes/ms restriction of the USB full speed. But the usb audio class 1.0 stands that the maximum sample rate is 78 kHz...Is it possible to achieve transferring 16bits data at 384ksps ?Thanks

Hello,I want to use a STM32F7 to retrieve ADC measurements from an external ADC over SPI (16-bit read operation to retrieve the measurement). In theory, it should be possible. My question is: how can I retrieve the measurements minimizing the host processor load ?My idea is to ;use a 48 Mhz SPIuse an interrupt to trigger SPI read.use SPI read operation with DMA to store the data in buffer. The problem is that my interrupt will fire each 2us ... I don't think this is reasonable on a microcontroller. Is there a smarter way to do that on a MCU ? Or should I choose another solution like FPGA or DSP ?Thanks !

I use nucleo-g071rb board. I want to read Infrared datas via IR Led and send it to another IR receivers with different IR Led. For purpose I used timer2's channel 1 with input capture direct mode. I used dma here to see datas. I have a problem with dma.I made polarity to both edges and I don't know exact data number, because different IR transmitters have different data sizes. That's why I used HAL_TIM_IC_Start_DMA function with 512 half word size. Here I want to record all datas from zero but I see it continues to record where is stays. I mean if 71 bytes datas came, it continues to write from 72. How I set it to start from 0 every time ?

Hello,Do you have timeline for STM32H7 Dual Core -> Additional Software support available.when it will be available? I am interested in X-Cube-TouchGFX.ThanksTushar

I would like to know when touchgfx team can launch touchgfx with dual core support. I have 747I-disco and am using CubeIDE, but this is the question asked a month ago. I got an answer from touchGFX team we could get the support by the end of Jan, but now we have Feb. Any updates?

Hi,I want to set a common interaction for all buttons on screen. For this, I configured button interactions to call the same virtual function ButtonClicked(). How could I determine in this function, which button was clicked? Is there a way to tell TouchGFX to create a virtual function with a parameter of the clicked button?Thank You

Hello,I wanted to know some suggestion regarding a project, and adding FOTA support in it.The project is stm32f405 based and it configures the gsm module as a server and one can make request and get response using https request.I wanted to update the firmware of the stm32f405 using the gsm module, I have looked into muc like the STM32WB series that have FOTA implemented for Bluetooth, and some basic principle used by the implementation. But I wanted to use the existing stm32f4 mcu and don't want to port my project to stm32wb.Any suggestion(hardware or sotfware) on how can I implement the FOTA.Thankyou.

Hi, I am wondering why STm32CubeMX in some projects will generate the correct order of MX_DMA_Init() before MX_USART6_UART_Init(), but in other projects it will reverse that order. if the order is reversed, then the DMA will not work.I have looked into the *.ioc-files. I notived the Mcu.IPxx fields are not ordered correctly starting with Mcu.IP10.working file (DMA_init before USART6_init)Mcu.Family=STM32H7Mcu.IP0=CORTEX_M7Mcu.IP1=DMAMcu.IP2=NVICMcu.IP3=RCCMcu.IP4=SYSMcu.IP5=USART6Mcu.IPNb=6not working file (DMA_init after USART6_init)Mcu.Family=STM32H7Mcu.IP0=CORTEX_M7Mcu.IP1=DEBUGMcu.IP10=TIM3Mcu.IP11=USART6Mcu.IP2=DMAMcu.IP3=ETHMcu.IP4=FREERTOSMcu.IP5=HRTIMMcu.IP6=LWIPMcu.IP7=NVICMcu.IP8=RCCMcu.IP9=SYSMcu.IPNb=12Is there anything I can do to get generated code that is independent of the Mcu.IPNb < 10 ?
