LSM6DSM Power Draw at Different Voltages

CMehr.1

Hello,

I am looking at the LSM6DSM datasheet for power draws. Here is an example

  • Accelerometer Current Consumption @ ODR=52Hz
    • VDD = 1.8 V
    • Current = 25 uA
    • Power = VDD*Current = 45 uW

Does the current required by the LSM6DSM accelerometer change if VDD is toward the upper end, say, 3.3 V? Should I expect lower, or higher, power draws? Basically fill out the following:

  • Accelerometer Current Consumption @ ODR=52Hz
    • VDD = 3.3 V
    • Current = TBD uA
    • Power = VDD*Current = TBD uW

Thanks in advance!

Hi @CMehr.1 ,

please consider that the main increase in power consumption is given by a change in the ODR frequency.

A change in Vdd from 1.8V to 3.3V qill increase the accelerometer power consumption by about 2 / 3 uA.

  • VDD = 3.3 V
  • Current = 27uA uA
  • Power = VDD*Current = 90 uW
