STM32CubeIDE 1.7.0 was released last week on st.com as well as an in-tool update patch.
Caution: The in-tool update does not allow updating debug probe drivers and ST-LINK server tool. Full installer is required for this.
What is new in 1.7.0?
- Target support updated in-sync with STM32Cube ecosystem in general. In particular:
- Added support for additional STM32U5 series devices.
- Integration of STM32CubeMX 6.3.0, STM32CubeProgrammer 2.8.0.
- Eclipse® update 2021-03 (Q1 release) with improved macOS® Big Sur support
- Improved FreeRTOS and Azure RTOS ThreadX debug support : full call stack for all tasks in the Debug view.
- Information Center updated with new Feature Highlight.
- Project less debug support: debug is possible with an elf file and no STM32 project
- Thread-safe malloc solution

Where do I obtain STM32CubeIDE 1.7.0?
Caution: After updating STM32CubeIDE, the post-update restart fails. STM32CubeIDE must be restarted manually.
