MC Workbench cannot generate projects with CubeMX 6.3.0

Hi all,

I am using MC Workbench to generate motor projects.

As I upgrade my STM32CubeMX to 6.3.0, it doesn't work anymore.

I can directly use STM32CubeMX, but cannot generate source via MCWorkbench.

I tried MC Workbench 5.4.4, 5.4.6, 5.Y.1, and all of them failed to generate.

I noticed that when using CubeMX 6.3.0, it will popup an error screen showed I need java version > 11.0.10.

When using Workbench 5.4.4, if I installed a higher jdk/jre version than 1.8, it will guide me to install java 1.8. If I installed jdk/jre 1.8, it will pop up it needs 11.0.10.

When using workbench 5.4.6 or 5.Y.1, since it bundled jre, it will always pop up it needs 11.0.10. I checked the bundle java version, it's 1.8 .................

Currently, I can just use CubeMX 6.2.1 + MCWorkbench to generate source tree.

Please help to fix this issue or guide me how to use this.

Thanks,

Jungchu

Dear @JHSU.16

The brand new STM32 CubeMX 6.3.0 has caused compatibility issues with some STM32 MC-SDK tools and these issues have already been identified on beta versions of STM32 CubeMX 6.3.0.

This is why our team released, at the same time of the release of STM32 CubeMX 6.3.0, the new versions STM32 MC-SDK 5.4.7 and 5.Y.2 "to face the new STM32CubeMx 6.3.0".

Please refer to the announcement of these releases which is currently in the top 3 pinned questions of this forum: https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00000zFVTKSA4/new-stm32-mcsdk-versions-547-5y2 .
