evspin32f0601s1 (6-step control in workbench)

I bought the evspin32f0601s1 board.

In the data sheet

"Sensored or sensorless 6-step algorithm"

It is described like this...

Is it not possible to select 6-step in the st motor control workbench?

And since there is no detailed information about the workbench settings, it is difficult to set up. What do I need to see to learn more about the settings?

Hello @DLee.10

The ST Motor Control Workbench support the board Evspin32f0601s1 for FOC use only.

With this hardware, the 6-step algorithm is published as a Firmware example, you can find the file on the st.com website, on the board page in the Tool & Software tab.

Or you can click on the link below:

https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/embedded-software/evaluation-tool-software/stsw-spin32f060x.html

For Documentation about workbench, you can find pdf in the Documentation tab in the workbench software. Regarding the 6-step algorithm firmware you can find more information on the website, on the firmware example and on the board page.

If you are interested in FOC and workbench settings you can find in User Manual UM1052 (STM32F PMSM single/dual FOC) additional explanations.

Best Regards,

Antoine
