swim error [30003]: detected hardware not compatible with software

Hello,

i'm trying to programm a M24LR-DISCOVERY board over the ST-Link V2 of a NUCLEO-F401RE board. As IDE i use ST Visual Develop with cosmic stm8 32k compiler. When i try to start the debugger i get the following error message:

 -> Emulator reset (usb://usb)...

  ** Connection error (usb://usb): swim error [30003]: detected hardware not compatible with software

 -> Failed to connect target.

I would appreciate any help you can offer.
