Question

Spice Model for the VIPERGAN50TR for simulation purpose on LTSpice.

Good Morning STM Team,

I am trying to simulate a 28 W Flyback-based AC-DC offline converter using the VIPERGAN50TR controller in LTspice.

Could anyone please help me with the LTspice SPICE model for the VIPERGAN50TR? It would be very helpful for my simulation work.

If there are any sample LTspice projects or simulation files available, I would also appreciate it if you could share them.

Thank you!

Thank you very much for your enquiry, however I must report with the greatest regret that the VIPERGAN50TR has already been discontinued, as can also be seen on its product website. The only model that was available at the time and is still online today was a VIPERGAN50 SIMPLIS model.

A SIMPLIS model can only be used to a very limited extent as a basis for deriving an LTspice model, because the behaviour can only be approximated, not faithfully transferred. Time-discrete and switch-state-based models also behave differently in LTspice, so dynamics, stability and control-loop response will not match exactly. The SIMPLIS model may therefore be useful for gaining an insight into the structure, but not for an accurate reproduction in LTspice/SPICE.

/Peter

Thank you peter for your response!

Thank for your information regarding the VIPERGAN50TR. I will be grateful if you can share me the SIMPLIS model of the VIPERGAN50.

I would be happy too if you can also share the documents related to the VIPERGAN50 which can be useful for the simulation purpose.

The SIMPLIS model can be found via the link in my previous reply. However, that is all I still have available regarding the discontinued VIPERGAN50.

Thank you for the information!!.

But I have one doubt I am using VIPERGAN50TR for simulation purpose as well in actual hardware . Weather this VIPERGAN50 can be used to simulate the exact behaviour of the VIPERGAN50TR or have any differences between these two which can cause any problems in simulation results ?

VIPERGAN50 and VIPERGAN50TR are the same thing.
