Multiple L6470 on one SPI bus without using daisy chain

Is it possible to use multiple L6470 motor driver ICs on the same SPI bus - common SDI, SDO, CK line, but separate chipselect signals for each L6470?

My experimental board doesn't show any data on SDO when more than one chip is connected.

I thought that SDO ports are high impedance as long as chipselect at that chip is not active?

Dear Mr. Steinbach,

when the CS input is forced high, the SDO output of L6470 is in high impedance status. This way is possible to drive multiple devices sharing SDI, SDO and CK lines and using separate CS lines for each device.
