Question
L9908 48V system
Dear all.
I am currently planning to design a circuit without a DCDC, following the sequence VBat -> VDH -> VBP.
To apply the L9908 to a 48V system, is it sufficient to set the voltage applied to the VBP pin from the DCDC to 36V or lower,
as shown in Figure 91 of the datasheet?
If so, what is the reason for using it in conjunction with a transistor like Tvbp1?
Alternatively, what happens if only Tvbp1 is used without the DCDC?
Since VDH and VBP each have monitoring functions, wouldn't there be no problem using them separately?
