How do I add the X-NUCLEO-IHM05A1 drivers to a new project?

I have been able to compile and load the X-CUBE-SPN5 example to my NUCLEO-F401 with an IHM05A1 board. I notice in the example folders that there is a BSP folder with L6208 component and MotorControl folders. How can I make these folders/drivers accessible to a new project to allow me to control the stepper motor? I have read the UM1927 but I cannot understand how to include the motor driver software in my new project.
