I have a range of ideas that I want to try using a motor and movement as a generator. Can I omit the MPPT resistors from my circuit and still use the IC as a battery management and linear regulator?

Secondly when I have done some experiments with motors I am going to need to follow up with questions on how to calculate resistor values?

I have put resistor values based on MPPT of 98% but I think this figure is to high because there is a rectifier from my motor/generator that will add a variable impedance. I have not calculated the input capacitor but my design includes a 4.7uF capacitor working buck/boost up to 18V.
