About L6562A operation. Is there a possibility that the IC will breakdown if it is operated above the recommended fswmin value of 20 to 50 kHz described in AN2761?

No, the frequency range mentioned in AN2761 is just a typical range.

Limiting values of devices can always be found in the datasheet.
