Hello Sir,
We are currently facing a Country of Origin (COO) issue regarding the STM32F722RET6 MCU and would appreciate your assistance in clarifying the following questions.

  1. Could you please confirm whether the Country of Origin (COO) of the STM32F722RET6 is France, as indicated on the STMicroelectronics official website?
  2. Could you please provide the manufacturing locations for the STM32F722RET6, including:
    • Wafer Fabrication (Wafer Fab) location
    • Assembly location
    • Testing location

Your prompt assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Dear @Daisy_TTC ,

As recommended above, it is important to enter in contact with your local distributor and identify your business opportunity to better answer the original question.   In general these MCU reference are high runners and when you look to our errata

https://www.st.com/resource/en/errata_sheet/es0334-stm32f76xxx-and-stm32f77xxx-device-errata-stmicroelectronics.pdf

You can see that latest version in production we have Z and 1 : that means at least the Wafer production is done on two different locations and may happen in same country or different , the same also for assembly and testing with differents factories depending in the CPN you ordered and shipped .

Hope it helps you .

Hi Sir,

Thank you for your reply.

Based on your explanation, may I confirm whether the country code marked on the chip indicates the assembly location?

For example, does “CHN” shown on the STM32F722RET6 chip in the picture indicate that the assembly was performed in China?

Thank you.
