Question

Will high temperature disrupt the code and make the IC malfunction?

My stm8l151k4t6 malfunctioned after I detached it from PCB in some heating way and then welded it back to the board. I wonder if the temperature I used to removed and welded the IC is too high. Anyone ever met this situation?

Very common problem when "unsodering" an IC from its circuit board. Too much heat applied probably fried the chip. Would have been cheaper to just have left the chip on that board and purchased a new chip to experiment with off the board.
