Hi All,

I've written a Java GUI front-end that coordinates product firmware-programming in the field. It does this by invoking the services of a number of 3rd party ''software suite vs hardware programmer'' pairings: the Standalone JTAG Programmer and Raisonance's RLink being one such match-up.

What we are proposing to use is a ''subset'' of the functionality provided by an older version of the Standalone JTAG Programmer (version 1.20, specifically) obtained from

http://www.st.com/stonline/products/support/micro/files/standalone_jtag.zip

We want to use pFLink (a component of the software suite installed with the Standalone JTAG Programmer) to direct/control the RLink programmer without the overhead of the full suite. Since the tool I've developed is going into the hands of our distributors in the field, we want to avoid potentially dangerous capabilities from falling into inexperienced hands; having the JTAG Programmer GUI available from a desktop shortcut is an unnecessary temptation.

TIA,

Carl
