Request advice on parallel port interface probs w/ STVD7 2.5.3

Get the ''Connection error (LPT1): gdi-error in hds: [20016] initialization of the communication with the emulator has failed''

message.

Did uninstall/resintall of application. Read some advice in forums on uninstall of drivers. Could someone clarify just what driver is needed to run the port for the STVD7?

I should mention that am running XP-Professional, and that during the STVD7 install, it complained that the STM par-port driver was missing,a and prompted me to tell it to install it. I don't know what ifanything actually got installed....because it rebooted the PC without telling anything else.

When you try re-installing STVD7, did it try re-installing the parallel port driver?
