On an LIS3DH in low power with FS set to +- 16g the datasheet on page 10 gives a sensitivity of 192 mg/digit. So 192 * 128 = 24,576. Or a range of 24.6 g??? Am I missing something???

Eveven if higher value would fit in the output register, the range is 16g. The performance above 16g is not guaranteed.
