LSM6DSVTR – Clarification on top marking and date code format

Hello ST team,

We would like to clarify the top marking and date code format of LSM6DSVTR.

As shown in the attached photo, the device has:

“V3” at the top

A 2D code in the center

A single digit “4” below the 2D code

We understand that “V3” is the identification marking for LSM6DSVTR. However, we are unsure how to interpret the digit “4”.

Could you please help clarify the following?

What does the digit “4” represent? Is it a year code or another traceability code?

What is the correct date code format for this device? If it is YWW, where is the manufacturing week indicated?

Is the complete date code stored in the 2D code? If so, how can it be read and interpreted?

Is there any official marking specification or relevant PCN/PCI that we can use as a reference for incoming inspection?

We can provide the original reel/bag label and lot information privately if required for verification.

Thank you for your assistance.

Are you working with @VenusY - who seems to be asking exactly the same question:

A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked.A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work.

The markings are similar. However, what I don’t understand is that, based on my understanding, the third line (YWW) should consist of three characters. Why does this batch have only one character?
