LIS3MDL does not respond when in Continuous-conversion or Single-conversion mode

Hello, I read the Application note AN4602 about the start-up procedure of the LIS3MDL. When I change the mode of the sensor, the DRDY signal remains low and the sensor does not answer to the following I2C transactions.

Without changing the mode of the sensor, I am still able to read the measurement done during the start-up procedure and communicate with I2C with the sensor.

Does anyone had the same issue or has any suggestion?

I suspect an hardware issue on the PCB I am using. I plan to do some tests with a new sensor and PCB.

Hi @TGabo.2 ,

did you try to restart the measurment mode after changing modes?

as the AN says, The system goes to idle mode: • automatically at the end of startup procedure

this could be the problem

let me know if this solves it
