LIS2DH internal sampling vs sample rate

Hi ST,

I'm wondering about the sample rate of the LIS2DH* family and if the configured sample rate affects how the samples are captured. Specifically, when sample rate is changed, does that change how the samples are performed internally, or does is it the same process just happening less frequently? For example, if I switch from 10hz sampling to 1hz, does the chip integrate over a longer period while collecting each sample?

thanks,

paul

Yes, I mean the resolution.

One measurement takes the same time (dependent on selected mode). The output data rate defines how often is the measurement executed.

Hi Miroslav,

Thanks for the info. Can you clarify what you mean by "dependent on selected mode"? I assume this means the resolution (8 vs 10 vs 12 bits) and not the ODR. Can you confirm?

thanks,

paul
