Question

Hi i going to work with H3LIS331DL. In datasheet (P.16) it's written that 10uF Aluminum capacitor should be placed... Can i put 10uF ceramic capacitor? Thanks Ely

Hi @EFlin.1 , you are right: the datasheet suggests the use of aluminum capacitor for -I believe- a couple of reasons: the 1st one is that it is (or it was) easier to find a 10uF aluminum capacitor than a ceramic one; and, second, the aluminum capacitors are often through-hole devices that are more suitable for a shock detection application then the surface-mounted ceramic capacitors. However, as you can see from the H3LIS331DL adapter (STEVAL-MKI153V1), the 10uF decoupling capacitor can be ceramic too. Regards
