Which external memory for STM32F401???

Hello everybody,

i need your help. To store data on my STM32, I need about 4-8GB storage.

What kind of memory would you choose and why? I was thinking about eMMC but I have not found a development board or test board for a eMMC BGA. Do you have any other suggestions?

Given the pricing of microsd cards these day a rat-trap type socket on the board might be a good solution.

NAND has been a pain over the years because the form factors and parts obsolete very quickly.

Board level I'd go with eMMC based on longevity, I use ODROID eMMC modules and MicroSD card adapters to write and test drivers on a host of STM32 platforms.
