Scanning MAC addresses of smartphones with STEVAL-IDB006V1

I'm working with the STEVAL-IDB006V1 Board. I want to see the Bluetooth MAC address of "smartphones". I can see the MAC address of other BLE development boards, but I can't see the MAC addresses (or device name) of "smartphones" as a result of the scan. Is something like this possible with this board. How can I do it?

Looks like the question is generic and not specific to BLE-Mesh

Kindly clarify which firmware you are running ?

Can you use any available project to see if the board is working fine ?

I did settings from the BlueNRG GUI program (firmware: BlueNRG_VCOM_1_8.hex) and did active scanning, not found the MAC addresses of smartphones. When I edited a BLE / IAR project and found the MAC addresses of other development cards, I couldn't see the smartphones.
