Migrating from the SPWF01Sx to the SPWF04Sx

Hello,

We're trying to migrate a board from the SPWF01SC to the SPWF04SC. Two of the additions to the SPWF04 are the LSE and HSE external clock pins. They're not displayed on the block diagram for the SPWF04 in its datasheet so does it use the STM32F429's internal RC oscillator by default or do we need to add oscillators to our board as per the X-NUCLEO-IDW04A1 evaluation board?

Hi Steve,

you can ignore HSE and LSE pins. Leave floating. Module uses STM32's internal oscillators.

You can migrate without HW efforts. Only pay attention to I/O levels (from 2v5 to 3v3)

Thanks for your quick response; a colleague had the evaluation board and I only noticed this morning that they're not populated on the IDW04 board!
