I've bought STM32F103 and St-Link/V2 and wanted to program and debug it via STM32CubeIde 1.7 . I connected the 2 devices and the laptop. I wrote a simple programand tried to debug: I got problems. St-Link needed an upgrade, but the Upgrade tool couldn't do that because device wasn't in DFU mode. I don't know what's DFU. I downloaded STM32CubeProgrammer and tried to update ST-Link probe: I wasn't able as I got the same answers. Nonetheless with STM32CubeProgrammer I ruined firmwareof St-Link/V2. Then I downloaded en.stsw-link009_v2.0.2 and was able to restore ST-Link original firmware. At last I downloaded en.stsw-link004_v4.6.0 and with STM32 ST-LINK Utility I was able to update ST-Link. Now in my program, debugger executes normally. Unfortunately I have to perform the same upgrade with STM32 ST-LINK Utility for every new project I make, but at least I saved 2 pieces of Hw.
Bluetooth development is a new field for me so I would like to start without any doubt.I'm checking the X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 for learning and using BLE in another project.My question is about the register mapping on the datasheet of this board. Why are these not mounted and when do I have to mount which resistor or make a shortcut?Is there any document with this information or any guideline?Thank you.
Using a BlueNRG-LPI am wanting the advertising packet to show the battery level and some other changing data - pretty normal for a BLE device. So I have it advertising normally and I call this function every 10 seconds. This however seems to just stop advertising altogether.I have tried disabling advertising, changing it and re-enabling but that has the same effect. The data length doesnt change - just the contentsAny suggestions?void BluetoothUpdateAdvertisement(uint8_t Role, uint8_t Battery){ tBleStatus ret; if (APP_FLAG(SET_CONNECTABLE)) { adv_data[AD_MFRDATA_STATUS] = Role; adv_data[AD_MFRDATA_BATT] = Battery; ret = aci_gap_set_advertising_data(0, ADV_COMPLETE_DATA, sizeof(adv_data), adv_data); printf("Update advertising data %02X\n", ret); }}
Good day Team,We are doing PoC(Proof of Concept) to get L6362A into our products replacing similar IO Link chip. Now while doing the PoC, we ran into issue which was not found on previous/exisiting IO Link chip.Problem:On the Master to Multiple Slave network, when the collision occurs, the signal is too noisy that at times failed by Master to detect it as on the RX of Master is fixed baudrate which is 230 kbps supported by the chip. Any ideas or solution for L6362A to implement collision detection by Master?Feel free to share if you anyone have any concern or need more information.Regards,Ankur
hello every one,I've an S2-LP and I need to recive differents data packet with different length but datas can be more than 128byte (FIFO size). What I need to do to receive more byte than fifo size? The size of packet coded on payload and I can know it only after the parsing and decrypting. how can I configure the GPIO to do this and how can I read the FIFO more than one time to receive all payload without corruption? thank you
Hello Community,I'm trying to send some messages via uart using HAL_UART_Transmit. Those messages contain some extended ASCII Characters. I can´t get those characters and that's why i'm asking if someone could help me to send extended ASCII charcters. Thanks!
I have the VL53L5CX-SATEL breakoutbord. The Sensor is working in the VL53L5CX evaluation gui with the X-NUCLEO-53L5A1 evaluation board.I'm working in the Arduino IDE. The I2C of the VL53L5CX does not work as easy as normal I2C does. The sensor is working with the example code in the stm32 IDE.Thanks in advanceLucordes
Hey everyone,I've been trying to build a transceiver setup using a Nucleo-STM32L432KC and a SPIRIT1. Currently I have it sending and receiving data but if unit 1 TXs a string of 30 characters unit 2 will only show its packet length as 14. This seems to be the length of the message that unit 2 sent prior to receiving it.As an interim solution I have set the the payload length to 96 (mostly arbitrary but based off the FIFO size) every time it sends or receives data using:SpiritPktBasicSetPayloadLength(96);The data transmits correctly now but of course has garbage after my string ends.I am leaving the setup as mostly standard and using the basic packet type.Any ideas on how to allow me to set the packet size (without using flexible packets - those didn't seem to work) in the packet and have it correctly receive would be great. I feel I may be misunderstanding how I'm supposed to send/receive data. If needed I can upload the parts of my code that deal with the SPIRIT.Thanks in advance
Hi. I am using BlueNRG-X Flasher tool (on Win10) to communicate via SWD with a BlueNRG-M2SP module. The problem is that BlueNRG-X Flasher tool does not enable memory protection after flashing my firmware. Neither CLI or GUI work properly, since it is possible read after programming all the contents of flash memory.
i guess it might be the same, but just would like to make sure.thank you very much.
Hello,I am a new user of STM32CubeMX software. I would like to generate a basic project to run on Cortex M0 part of STEVAL-IDB008V2 evaluation board. Unfortunately I cannot find the BlueNRG-2 core in cores list, neither the evaluation board. I installed X-CUBE-BLE2 Embedded Software Package but it did not help.
I have a project that transmit data on BLE and the old BLE that I was using has command for all there setting and those command were sent over the UART. I was hoping if I can use BlueNRG-2 and do all the settings via UART and stream my data over android application. Can someone please let me know if BlueNRG has this capability?
Hello,I have a problem with the l9663 and the output is limited to 9.4V aprox no matter how much I use on it's input(maximum value tried 15V).In the datasheet it states that the transceiver is compatible with psi5 ver 2.x and 1.3.According to the psi5 protocol the transceiver should work between 5 and 11 volts. I tried many configurations of registers but no avail .When I read the status register one (SR1) it indicates an overvoltage on the Vas even though I disabled it using the CHCNT register during the programing phase of the transceiver.Is the Vas somehow still active and limiting the output of the transceiver or is some other problem at hand?
Hi,Is there any possibility to have application note of a communication between a microcontroller and a sensor (magnetic angular position sensor in my case) using a l9663 transceiver. I'm a bit lost with all the infomation in the datasheet and I need a exemple.
The PD specification calls for 200-600pf on CC1 and CC2 (each). With 330pf on both CC1 and CC2 to GND, I see intermittent errors (missed PD messages, not received). It is infrequent but it happens. Removing these capacitors clears it up. What is the 1602's pin capacitance? Am I exceeding the specified 600pf maximum when adding the 330pf capacitors? Thanks!
Good morning,I would like to plan a new device with IO-Link bus. Device is a rotary multiturn absolute encoder. I bought the master STEVAL-IOM001V1 and the device STEVAL-IDP003V1. I’ve properly installed the TEConcept’s tool IO-Link Control Tool and loaded the right IODD files for the device.The problem:Master’s side seems working properly. When I turn on the device and start IO-link communication, I can see message coming in device’s side but NO RESPONSE from device.What can I check?Any solution?Thanks Alex
Hello, the Teseo-LIV3 software manual (UM2229) states:"GALILEO and BEIDOU support is still experimental and should not be used in production environment."What is the current status of this? It seems to work OK for me. Does it improve performance to use three constellations instead of two?Thanks
