I'm starting for a PLC (power line communication ) modem design for transmission over a power line that along his activity can pass from 500 Vac to 24 Vdc or to cold status in a mesh private network .

My question is to verify if the component ST8500 can satisfy what is described previously taking into account that when it has to work with line at 24 Vdc or when in cold status it can't detect any "zero crossing" .
