User with NO activity still has 'Contributor' badges?!

Those badges are “Replies contributed: 1”, and “Solution Contributor: 1”

 

I had a notification this morning of a reply by this user:

but there is no such reply.

I guess this is all “ghosts” of activity that’s been removed as spam?

This forum does seem rather poor at handling spam:

Thanks for your feedback.
We have removed the badges from the user mentioned, and will continue to remove badges for any banned users moving forward. We’re also looking into the opportunity of removing their points entirely. 

“Refreshing” and removing notifications based on actions done/undone is also being looked into.
