Unnecessary notifications

I just got a notification to tell me that a solution has been marked in one of my own threads.

I really don’t need a notification to tell me that - because I did it myself!

 

In general, it’s only the thread creator who can mark the solution - so the thread creator should never need a notification of this.

(the exception would be when a moderator marks a solution, but that is an exception - not usual)

Thank you for the feedback. The conditions for email notifications cannot be corrected because they are provided out of the box.

The condition in this case is: Answer was marked as best answer in a topic you subscribed to. This means that in both scenarios, if a user is the creator of a thread or has participated in one, the user receives the notification.

You can choose to disable this notification if you wish:

For both ‘Replies’ and ‘Best Answer’ there needs to be the option (at least) to exclude notifications when one did the thing oneself:

• I know when I have  made a reply - I don’t need (or want) a notification of that;
• I know when I have marked a ‘Best Answer’ - I don’t need (or want) a notification of that.
