"Send" button grayed out while editing a post

I was trying to edit my post here:

After inserting images and links and stuff, the “Send” button was grayed out. I had to hit “Cancel”, edit the post again, redo everything, and hit send (which was not grayed out this time). No indication as to why it was grayed out.

Hi both. Thank you for your patience. 

We found that it usually happens while the text editor is still loading, in this case it is probably related to the image uploads. For further investigation we would need more samples, so please let us know if you experience this again.

Have just had this happen again to me:

The inserted pictures were all showing fine in the editor.

I had to copy & paste into a new editor to make the post:

 

I also had a couple of these:

 

Looks like there’s a performance issue on the server, and it does not fail gracefully.

Just happened again - this time in a reply:

In this case, the ‘Send’ button has its disabled, light-yellow colour - it doesn’t go grey when disabled.

It should look like this:

 

Again, I had to abandon the reply, and start again from scratch:

If I try to leave the web page - without pressing ‘Cancel’ - I do get the warning:
