'Quote' option is missing from OP; available on replies

There is no ‘Quote’ option on the opening post of a thread; eg,

 

But it’s there on all other posts in a thread:

 

 

Seems daft & inconsistent to not have it on the OP !

I’ve already escalated that five days ago. Hope it will be fixed..

Hello ​@Andrew Neil and ​@mƎALLEm,

We have contacted our software provider to request the addition of the Quote option on the original post as well.

In the meantime, you can quote the first post by using the Quote feature in the text editor. After clicking it, copy and paste the part of the post you would like to quote.

Yes, I know that one!

It’s not the same as the ‘Quote’ function in the menu, though:

  • Doesn’t automatically insert text
  • Doesn’t attribute the quote
A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked.A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work.
