Links should default to open in new tab

There was an option to set this on the old forum, and it was agreed that ‘open in new tab’ was the best default.

 

When this forum turns a post link  into a clickable box like this:

it opens in the current tab.

Please can this be changed to new tab ?

What about just a bare URL:

https://www.st.com/en/microcontrollers-microprocessors/stm32-32-bit-arm-cortex-mcus.html

 

Or manually-hyperlinked text: STM32 32-bit Arm Cortex MCUs ?

 

Edit: both of those do open in a new tab - it is just the auto-generated clickable box that’s inconsistent.

Thanks ​@Andrew Neil. I will check if this is possible. 

In the meantime, use the option to right click on the content and choose to “Open link in a new tab”.
