Improvement: better tag searching when creating a post

Searching for tags when creating new topics does not match tags midword. Example: when searching for “Designer” the tag “TouchGFXDesigner” does not pop up…

TouchGFXDesigner tag does not show when searching for “Designer”
“TouchGFXDesigner” does show when searching for “Touch”

I was just caught by that here:

PS:

It also means you can’t select the MCU family by just typing, say, “F0” - you have to do the full “STM32F0”.

That’s a bit superfluous.

A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked.A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work.

Thank you for your feedback @Aron Hoogeveen and adding more details @Andrew Neil.

Apologies for the late reply.

Adding the comment here as well from the other linked post on tag search for transparency. As it was mentioned there, this issue is currently under review and we keep you updated.

Kind Regards,
Zita

This now seems to be inconsistent: it can manage to find the “clari” within “Needs clarification”:

But won’t find MX:

It finds some instances of “cube” - but not all:

etc, etc, ...
