Forum mis-counting replies

Here:

It says “2 Replies” - but there are actually three (one is hidden):

Also in the Topic listing:

I said this “hiding” of replies would lead to confusion - it seems it’s even confusing the forum itself !

Same thing happening here:

It looks like the forum is not counting those “sub” replies. Doesn’t matter whether they are hidden or not.

A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked.A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work.

Hello,

This is a known limitation. Threaded replies are not counted in the number of replies. Hope it will be fixed.

This one is a threaded reply which is not counted:

Indeed.

It does seem rather dumb.

More mis-counting:

The top one says “6 replies” - but the bottom one only says “show 1 more reply” - so where are the other 5 ?

Here:

If I click on the  “show 1 more reply”, I get:

Clicking on the “4 replies” then gives:

So why do we have these 2 inconsistent views?

Also, having to drill down just one level at a time soon gets  very tedious - please can we have a, “show all” ?
