Feature request: option to combine notifications in 1 email

If a topic gets 5 new replies in quick succession I get 5 separate emails.

I would like to either:

1. receive 1 email with all 5 notifications. Of course this means there is an additional delay to save up notifications. But if it is an option I don’t mind the waiting time.
2. Or a general email notifying me I have unspecified unread notifications that haven’t been read in x time.

 

Additionally I get multiple notifications if there is an accepted answer. Which is a separate issue, but related as it adds to the number of emails I receive from ST.

I don’t think this option works.
I get multiple emails. What counts as a visit?

This also applies to notifications within the web page.

eg, this morning I received a load of notifications in quick succession all telling me that a ‘best answer’ has been marked in the same post:

 

I guess this is because the OP kept changing his mind - but it would, indeed, be good to have a delay to filter these out.
