Don't allow 'liking' own posts

This forum allows users to ‘like’ their own posts - that’s just silly!

 

(I have ‘liked’ this one purely for the purpose of demonstration)

    While at it, it’s also not reasonable to allow liking from the thread list.

      Yes, that also seems daft!

      A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked.A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work.

      Thank you for pointing this out. Currently there is no built-in feature to prevent authors liking their own post. However, while it is possible on the platform, it is excluded from the point system, so there is no impact on the leaderboard.
