Distinguish links to a thread from links to a specific post?

Currently a link to the top of a thread will give exactly the same preview as a link to a specific reply within that thread; eg, see here:

 

I think it would be helpful if the preview made some distinction ?

seems to do it, selected post is shown.

Just on the dots in post : copy link.

That links to this post.

Yes - that’s the issue!

Need some way to show, at least, that I haven’t just posted the exact same link twice.

A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked.A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work.
