I agree with you that it would be a valuable feature in our community, however, it is not currently available. I contact our platform provider regarding this improvement and keep you informed on this thread. 

Having said that, the topic you linked is most probably not related to the functionality.

    The relation is that it illustrates a case where one might wish to search for a user

    A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked.A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work.
