Now live: your new ST Community platform

The new ST Community platform is up and running. We’ve moved to a platform that is easy to use and better suited to the way you work and share knowledge.

What you need to do

• As previously announced, the community has been in a transition period since May 22. This transition has now concluded with the migration to the new platform.

• Just log in with your existing credentials: Your account data has been migrated, so you can pick up where you left off. Take a moment to confirm your username and explore the new site.

• If you created a community account during the transition period, please note that you will need to create a new account on the new platform. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

• Content created between May 22nd and June 9th is not part of the initial migration. New posts, especially new topics, will be transferred in the coming days.

• The following items were not carried over:

  • Bookmarks and subscriptions saved on the community platform

  • Private messages

  • If you use HTML formatting in your signature, only the plain text was migrated

  • Community accounts created during the transition period (May 22nd - June 9th)

The process of transition is still ongoing, it seems.

First, the certificates are not quite there, my browser warned me the site was “unsafe”.
The proxy did not block it, and a login (with existing credentials) worked fine.

Second, most threads seem missing.
The newest ones listed here are from 16 days ago.

I’m pretty sure this gets fixed soon.

You’re right, community posts created between May 22 and June 9 were not included in the initial migration set. We understand this is not ideal and apologize for any inconvenience. This approach was necessary to keep the community open and active for everyone during the migration process.

These newer posts, including new topics, will be transferred to the new platform in the coming days. In the meantime, please feel free to repost your content on the new platform as you see fit.

Congratulations on the launch of the new platform. The new interface looks modern and much more user-friendly. Thanks to everyone who worked on this update.

One difference I noted, a login seems not to time out anymore in the new forum.
Just checking occasionally during my dayjob, I had the login sometimes time out in the last forum incarnation.

This new version even restores a session “interrupted” by a reboot, or an off period of several hours.
